Refilling or emptying

Before carrying out the operations described below, make
sure that the main system switch is set to "ON" in order for the
display to show the pressure level in the system during refilling.
Make sure that the operating mode is set to "Stand-by";

2.14.1 REFILL operations

Brava Slim HE 25/55 - 30/55 ErP

Remove the front panel:
– remove the two screws (1), pull the front panel (2) forwards
and release it from the top by lifting it.

Filling the storage tank for the first time (sanitising)
When filling the tank the first time, we recommend sanitising
both the tank and the domestic hot water expansion vessel.
Proceed as follows:
– check that the filling valve of the heating circuit (3) is shut-off
– open the isolation valves of the domestic hot water circuit (if
present)
– open one or more hot water valves to fill the domestic hot
water circuit with water and domestic sanitiser (SANITISING)
following the indications for use provided with the product
– shut-off the hot water valves again
– empty the tank as described under EMPTYING operations
– when it has fully emptied, shut-off the tank drain valve (5)
– repeat filling using water only.

CAUTION
For models with storage tank
If the boiler remains unplugged from the mains for
approximately one month or more (for example during
a holiday), you MUST SANITISE THE DOMESTIC HOT
WATER CIRCUIT the first time it is used again.

Heating circuit:

– open the isolation and air bleeding valves in the highest points
of the system
– loosen the automatic bleed valve (4)
– open the isolation valves of the heating circuit (if present)
– Open the filling valve (3)
– Fill until the water overflows from the air bleeding valves and
shut off the valves again
– Continue filling until the pressure reaches 1-1.2 bar as shown
on the display (1)
– Close the filling valve (3)
– check that there is no air in the system by bleeding all the
radiators and the circuit on the high points of the system

NOTE: to completely remove all air from the system, it is
recommended that this operation is repeated a number of times.
– check the pressure on the display and if necessary top up until
the correct pressure reading appears
– close the automatic bleed valve (4)
– fill the siphon disconnecting it from the pipe or using the
smoke take-off point.
Refit the front panel of the boiler hooking it on at the top,
pushing it forwards and securing it with the screw (1) which was
removed previously.
