Safety

Please note: All safety regulations must be com-
plied with strictly.
Please read carefully the instructions supplied
with the appliance for installation, use and main-
tenance before using the appliance.
The appliance must be installed in accordance
with the legislation and requirements applicable in
your country.
All local regulations and the regulations relating to
national and European standards must be
observed when installing the appliance.
The appliance must be placed, connected, com-
missioned and inspected by an authorized
installer, in accordance with the current national
and local standards, in accordance with reg-
ulations for closed appliances and in accordance
with the installation instructions of the man-
ufacturer.
The appliance is designed for heating purposes.
All surfaces, including the glass and connecting
tube, can become very hot (over 100°C)! Make
sure there is sufficient protection if young children,
disabled persons or old people are in the vicinity of
the appliance.
Safety distances from flammable materials must
be strictly adhered to.
Do not place any curtains, clothes, laundry or
other combustible materials on or near the appli-
ance. The minimum safe distance is 80 cm.
When in use, do not use flammable or explosive
substances in the vicinity of the appliance.
If the glass in the appliance is broken or cracked,
it must be replaced before you can use appliance
again.
The appliance has been set and sealed in the fact-
ory, in accordance with the category stated on the
model plate and at the correct nominal load.
Check that the information on the model plate cor-
responds with the local gas type and pressure,
and with the nature of your installation. The model
plate is behind the door at the bottom in the

appliance.
The appliance must be inspected by the installer
for the air tightness of the gas supply and flue gas
duct. The operation of the control valve, the ther-
mocouple circuit and the ignition of the burner
must also be checked.
When the appliance is ready for use, have your
installer tell you about its use, operation and main-
tenance.
Use only the log set supplied.
Place the log set exactly according to the descrip-
tion.
Keep the area around the pilot flame free of coal.
Avoid dirt in the gas pipe.
Always close the gas valve if the appliance is not
in use.
If you notice a gas smell, immediately close the
main valve, open windows and avoid fire or the
use of electrical contacts, such as switches,
because of the sparks they can cause. Always
call in an expert to trace a possible gas leak.

Installation requirements

General

The appliance must be connected tightly to a well-func-
tioning flue.
For connection measurements: see "Technical data"
appendix.
Ask the fire brigade and/or your insurance company
about any specific requirements and regulations.
Concentric flue gas exhaust
system
This closed gas stove was designed in combination with
a concentric flue gas exhaust system from the man-
ufacturer Muelink & Grol. The appliance can also be con-
nected to a concentric flue gas exhaust system from the
manufacturers Metaloterm or Poujoulat. Use the appro-
