that you replace the chain sprocket upon the sec-
ond replacement of the chain or earlier.
11.6 Replacing the chain and guide bar
 Put the machine in the basic position and dis-
mantle the chain sprocket cover [2-1] by rotat-
ing the fastening wheel [2-2] counter clock-
wise, as shown in Fig. [2].
 Stretch the chain [2-3] over the chain sprock-
et [2-8] and remove it together with the guide
bar [2-4].
 Put a new chain [2-3] on a (new) guide bar [2-
4] and insert it into the machine. Maintain the
proper position of the cutting teeth, accord-
ing to the direction of rotation. The direction of
rotation is indicated by an arrow on the body
of the machine, and under the chain sprocket
cover there is a symbol showing how the chain
should be mounted.
 Place the chain's guide links into the chain
sprocket teeth [2-8] and turn using the chain
adjustment wheel [2-9] (when rotated clock-
wise as seen from above, the pin moves up-
wards and releases; when rotated counter
clockwise as seen from above, the pin moves
downward) so that the opening on the guide
bar [2-5] snaps onto the tension bolt [2-6].
 Then put the chain sprocket cover [2-1] on the
clamping bolt [2-7] and tighten by rotating the
fastening wheel [2-2] clockwise. Make sure the
chain is tensioned correctly before tightening.
Check the chain for correct tension!
11.7
Replacing the chain sprocket
Remove the chain and the guide bar as described
above. Using a screwdriver, strip the snap safety
ring [8-1] from the spindle [8-4], and remove the
washer [8-2] and chain sprocket [8-3]. After re-
placement, put the washer and safety ring back
on.
11.8 Lubrication and cleaning
We recommend cleaning the machine regularly.
Remove dust, cuttings, resin and other impuri-
ties. Detergents that contain solvents can harm
the painted surfaces or plastic parts. If you use
such detergents, we recommend that you fi rst
test their effect on a small hidden surface. Dur-
ing maintenance or replacement of any part of
the tool cutting set, clean the inside of the cover
by removing the accumulated dust and cuttings,
clean the guide groove, as well as the lubrication
and tension ports of the chain's guide bar. Do not
clean the rotary suction adaptor with your fi ngers!
The motor cover's ventilation ports must not be
blocked!

Replacing the carbon brushes

WARNING
The saw must undergo safety inspection to
maintain its protection category, and this work
must be done at an authorised facility licensed
to perform such work. Before servicing the tool,
always unplug the cord from the socket!
Have an authorised service facility handle re-
placement of the brushes, power cord, etc. If the
machine is dropped, it must be checked by an
authorised service centre to prevent any electrical
or mechanical hazard.
After approximately 200 operating hours, the
brushes must be checked. The brushes are ac-
cessible after removal of the hood. The brushes
must be replaced with new ones if they become
shorter than 5 mm.
The machine is equipped with self-detaching
brushes that come off automatically once the
minimum length is reached. Use only original-
equipment brushes!

12 Environment

Do not throw the power tool in your household
waste! Dispose of the machine, accessories and
packaging at an environmentally-responsible re-
cycling centre! Observe the valid national regula-
tions.
EU only: In accordance with the European Direc-
tive on waste electrical and electronic equipment
and implementation in national law, used power
tools must be collected separately and handed in
for environmentally friendly recycling.
