CAUTION!
If the tool is not used for long periods, it is recommended to charge the batteries every 3 months, so as not to
impair their life.
CAUTION!
Use only the battery charger supplied with the tool. Using a device with different specifications may cause
fires.

Warnings during and after charging

During charging, it is normal for the charger and the battery to be hot.
A new battery, or a battery unused for a long time, requires approximately 5 charge and discharge cycles to reach
its maximum capacity.
Do not charge the battery at an ambient temperature below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F).
If the battery has been previously charged, do not recharge it after a few minutes of use in order not to impair its
efficiency.
Do not use a damaged battery.
Do not disassemble the battery or battery charger.
When the battery is not fitted on the tool, keep it away from conductive metal objects to avoid electrical risks due to
short circuits.
Do not short circuit the battery
Do not store the battery near heat sources, in unventilated environments or in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The battery could explode or start a fire.
Do not charge the battery in humid environments or outdoors.
Do not use or charge the battery near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
The lower the battery charge, the slower the chain speed.
Do not expose the battery to rain and store it in a dry place.
Do not immerse the tool, battery or charger in any liquid.
Do not insert nails into the battery; do not hammer or step on it, or toss it, or cause any other damage to it.
Do not make welds on the battery.
Do not reverse the polarity of connections or excessively discharge the battery.
Do not connect the battery to charging sockets or car cigarette lighters.
Do not use the battery with tools other than those recommended by the Manufacturer.
Do not come into direct contact with the lithium cells of the battery.
Do not put the battery in the microwave or in containers at high temperatures or high pressures.
Do not use the battery if it leaks fluids.
Do not use the battery in an electrostatic environment (above 64V).
Do not use the battery if it shows signs of corrosion, smells unpleasantly or is visibly deformed.
Should your skin or clothes come into contact with battery fluid, immediately rinse with water.
Keep the batteries fully charged when the tool is not used for long periods.
Always disconnect the charger from the mains once the batteries have been recharged.

4.2

Starting and stopping the tool

CAUTION!
Before starting the motor, make sure that the chain (1) is not touching any foreign bodies.
Never work on trees or ladders, since it is extremely dangerous.
Before starting work with the tool, wear protective clothes.
Check that all the safety and protection devices can perfectly work and have been exactly assembled.
Check that the cutting bar (2) and the chain (1) are mounted correctly and that the chain is tensioned cor-
rectly.
Check that all the tightening screws are locked correctly.
