STARTING THE TOOL:

1. Always wear the supplied carrying strap (26) and adjust it at the most comfortable position.
2. Adjust the length of the pole (13):
a. loosen the pole by unscrewing the ring nut (14),
b. adjust the pole at the required length,
c. tighten the ring nut to firmly secure the position of the pole.
3. Remove the bar cover (20).
4. Attach the snap hook if the carrying strap (26) to the eyelet (17) on the pole.
5. Insert the battery pack (21) into its seat under the grip of the tool, until you hear a click.
6. Use the on-off button (9) to switch on the tool. The LCD screen (8) switches on.
7. Hold the tool tightly with both hands, the right on the control grip (10) and the left on the grip (16) applied to the
pole. The thumbs and fingers must be properly closed around the grips. To start the tool, hold the release button
(6) down and then press the trigger (7). The tool starts and the release switch (6) can be released.

STOPPING THE TOOL:

• By releasing the trigger (7) the tool stops and the release switch (6) automatically engages, preventing any acci-
dental start-up.
CAUTION!
Do not rest the tool on the ground or objects before the chain (1) stops. After the trigger has been released,
the chain keeps turning for a short while.
