CAUTION!
Do not overtighten the chain as this will excessively strain the motor.
If the chain is too tight, loosen the casing fixing nut and the chain tensioner screw, then push the bar in and readjust.
Check if the tension is correct once again.
IMPORTANT!
The chain (1) has a tendency to expand or shrink when using the tool, changing its tension. Periodically
check the tension of the chain and adjust it if necessary.
Do not tension the chain when it is elongated due to heat. Wait for it to cool down before adjusting it again. Tensioning
a hot chain may cause over-tension.
IMPORTANT!
If the chain is new, it requires a break-in period during which its tension must be checked more often.
CAUTION! Never leave the chain slack since it causes the components to wear rapidly and it may come out of
the bar when cutting causing dangerous situations.
CAUTION! Chain tension must be checked every time an operation is started, after the first cuts and regularly
every 2 hours.
4.1.3
Tank filling and chain lubrication
NOTE
The tool is supplied with the oil tank empty. The tank must be filled with oil before use. The duration and cut-
ting power of the chain depend on optimal lubrication.
CAUTION!
Never use the tool without or with a low amount of oil.
Lack of lubrication may cause seizing of the chain (1) on the support bar (2).
CAUTION!
Do not use old or recycled oil. Only use biodegradable oil for the chain.
