3.6 Handling the storage battery

With optional IP65 protection, the battery is not accessible from the outside. Please call the METTLER
TOLEDO service technician.
8 Installation​ ​
The battery symbol shows the current charging status of the storage battery. For
details, refer to the User manual.
Before the first operation, charge the storage battery for at least 3 hours.
CAUTION
Danger of soiling because the charger for the storage battery is not protected
according to IP69K!
Charging the storage battery below 0° C (32 °F) or above 40 °C (104 °F) is
prevented by the charging electronics!
1 Do not charge the device in humid or dusty rooms or outside the temperature range.
2 After the storage battery has been charged, close the cover cap of the charging socket
on the device.
