Starting and Stopping
Before Starting the Engine
1. Fill the fuel tank as instructed in the Before
Operation section of this manual (page 26).
2. Rest the Water Pump on the ground.
3. Keep all bystanders, children and animals away
from the working area.
Cold Starting Procedure
This Water Pump is equipped with a fuel primer and
a choke system. To start a "cold" engine properly,
perform the following procedure:
1. Pump the primer bulb at the bottom of the
carburetor until fuel can be seen flowing through
the fuel return line to the fuel tank. (Flowing fuel
should be almost clear, not foamy or full of
bubbles.)
Cómo arrancar y parar
Antes de arrancar el motor
1. Llene el depósito de combustible cómo se indica
en el apartado "Primeros pasos" de este manual
(página 26).
2. Coloque la bomba de agua en el suelo.
3. Mantenga alejados de la zona de trabajo a
transeúntes, niños y animales.
Procedimiento de arranque en frío
El este Bomba de agua está equipado con un
sistema de cebado de combustible y un estárter.
Para arrancar el motor en "frío" correctamente, siga
el procedimiento siguiente:
1. Bombee la bomba de cebado en el fondo del
carburador hasta ver fluir el combustible a través
del tubo de retorno al depósito. (El combustible
que fluye debería estar casi limpio, sin espuma,
ni burbujas.

2. Move the choke lever to the closed ( ) position
and move the stop switch to the "ON" position.
3. With the throttle lever positioned at 1/3 throttle
position, pull the starter grip.
4. After the engine starts, move the choke lever to
the open (
) position, then return the throttle
lever to the idle position.
If the engine stops running before you move the
choke lever to the open ( ) position:
Go ahead and open the choke, pull the starter grip
with the throttle trigger positioned at 1/3 throttle
position.
2. Gire la palanca del estárter hasta la posición
Cerrado " " y mueva el interruptor de parada a
la posición "ON".
3. Con la palanca del acelerador en velocidad 1/3,
tire de la empuñadura de arrancador.
4. Después que el motor haya arrancado, mueve la
palanca del estárter a la posición de abierta " ",
luego regresé la palanca del acelerador a la
posición de ralentí.
Si el motor se detiene antes de girar la palanca del
estárter hasta la posición "Abierto", prosiga y abra
el estárter, tire de la empuñadura del arrancador
con la palanca del acelerador en velocidad 1/3.
