WARNING
POTENTIAL HAZARD
• The components of your recoilstarter assembly
are under high spring tension. If improperly
disassembled these parts maystrike you with
considerable force, possibly causing personal injuly.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
• Contact with the parts can cause severer
personal injury.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
• Never attempt to disassemble your recoil
starter assembly yourself. Always consult your
authorized Maruyama dealer for repair by
qualified service technicians.
Hot Restart
To start the engine that is already warmed up (hot
restart), or if the ambient temperature exceeds
20°C:
1. Pump the primer bulb at the bottom of the
carburetor until fuel can be seen flowing through
the fuel return line to the fuel tank. (Flowing fuel
should be almost clear, not foamy or full of
bubbles.)
2. Turn the choke lever to the Open position "

Rearranque en caliente
Para arrancar el motor que ya está caliente
(rearranque en caliente), o si la temperatura
ambiente supera los 20°C:
1. Bombee la bomba de cebado en el fondo del
carburador hasta ver fluir el combustible a través
del tubo de retorno al depósito. (El combustible
que fluye debería estar casi limpio, sin espuma ni
burbujas).
2. Gire la palanca del estárter hasta la posición
Abierto "
".
3. With the throttle lever positioned at IDLE, pull the
starter cord.
4. If the engine fails to start after three to four pulls,
follow the instruction in the Cold Starting
Procedure section (page 32).
If the engine fails to start after you follow the above
procedures, contact an authorized dealer.
To Stop The Engine
1. Move the throttle lever to the idle position.
2. Move the stops switch to the "OFF" position.
IMPORTANT:
Except emergency, do not stop engine while it
runs fast. It may damage the engine. Move the
throttle lever at idle position first, then push the
stop switch.
IMPORTANT:
In case of the stop switch failure and the engine
continue to run, move the choke lever to the
closed position to stop the engine.

3. Con la palanca del acelerador en RALENTÍ, tire
de la cuerda del arrancador.
4. Si el motor no arranca después de tres o cuatro
intentos, siga las instrucciones del apartado
"Procedimiento de arranque en frío" (página 32).
Si el motor no arranca después de haber seguido
los procedimientos arriba descritos, póngase en
contacto con un distribuidor autorizado.
Para detener el motor
1. Mueva la palanca del acelerador a la posición de
ralentí.
2. Mueva el interruptor de parada a la posición
"OFF".
IMPORTANTE:
No pare el motor cuando funcione a alta
velocidad, salvo que sea una emergencia. Podría
dañar el motor. Desplace primero la palanca del
acelerador a la posición de ralentí, luego sresione
el interruptor de parada.
IMPORTANTE:
Si el interruptor de parada no funciona y el motor
continúa funcionando, mueva la palanca del
estárter hasta la posición "cerrado" para detener
el motor.
