Keep the cutting teeth correctly sharpened.
Obey the instructions and use the
recommended file gauge. A saw chain
that is damaged or incorrectly sharpened
increases the risk of accidents.
Keep the correct depth gauge setting.
Obey the instructions and use the
recommended depth gauge setting. Too
large depth gauge setting increases the
risk of kickback.
Make sure that the saw chain has the
correct tension. If the saw chain is not
tight against the guide bar, the saw chain
can derail. An incorrect saw chain tension
increases wear on the guide bar, saw
chain and chain drive sprocket. Refer to
tension the chain on page 26 .
Do maintenance on the cutting equipment
regularly and keep it correctly lubricated. If
the saw chain is not correctly lubricated,
the risk of wear on the guide bar, saw
chain and chain drive sprocket increases.

If the product is used within 11m (36 ft)
of electrical hazards, it must be used by
approved and qualified personnel only per
OSHA 1910.269(r).
Untrained and non-professionals: Do not
use within 11m (36 ft) of electrical hazards.
Clean and do the correct servicing on the
dielectric shaft to help keep the electrical
insulation properties.
Keep the dielectric shaft clean and dry
when you do work around energized
electrical power lines. Oil or dirt decreases
the electrical insulation properties of the
dielectric shaft.
Obey local regulations.
The tool must be clean, dry, and work
correctly before use.
Follow all company procedures.
Use only approved dielectric bar oil.
