To operate self-propel system without the blades rotating:
1. Press the self-propel button, the AUTO icon will FLASH on the LCD screen, the
self-propel function is ready to be engaged.
NOTE:
The default self-propel mode is OFF.
2. Pull the bail switch against the handle, and the AUTO icon will appear without
flashing (Fig. 30)

3. Push the mower forward to start the
self-propel function.

To turn the self-propel OFF, press
the self-propel button again, the OFF
icon will appear on the LCD screen
(Fig. 31).
NOTE:
The blade motor cannot be
started when the mower is already being
self-propelled. Release the bail switch and
restart the mower.
To operate self-propel system with the blades rotating
1. Depress the safety button to illuminate the LCD screen.
2. Press the self-propel button, the AUTO icon will FLASH on the LCD screen, the
self-propel function is ready to be engaged.
3. Press the blade speed mode button to select the desired speed, refer to the
section "Select Blade Speed Mode" in this manual.
4. Depress the safety button.
