Attaching the Barrier Guard Assembly
(Fig. 13, Fig. 14)
9. With one hand, hold the front of the Barrier
Guard Assembly 11 by the Fork 45. With the
other hand, hold the Barrier Guard Assembly
Release Lever 36 up
10. Lower the rear of the Barrier Guard As-
sembly 25, and slip its Cross Bar 46 into the
Notch for the Barrier Guard Assembly 47 on
the end of the Riving Knife 24
11. Lower the front of the Barrier Guard Assem-
bly 25 until the Fork 45 is parallel with the

12. Press down on the Barrier Guard Assembly
Release Lever 36 until you feel and hear it
snap into the locking position
the Barrier Guard Assembly 25 is securely
connected.

Attaching the Anti-Kickback Device
(Fig. 15)
13. Squeeze the Anti-Kickback Device's Com-
pression Pin 49
Kickback Device 26 on the top edge of the
Riving Knife 24, below the Notch 48
14. Slide the Anti-Kickback Device 26 up the
top edge of the Riving Knife 24 until it drops
into the Notch 48
15. Release the Compression Pin 49 so that the
Anti-Kickback Device 26 locks onto the Riv-
ing Knife 24 immediately behind the Barrier
Guard Assembly 25.

16. Check that the Compression Pin 49 is se-
curely connected into the Notch 48 by care-
fully raising and lowering the Pawls 50.
When you let go of the spring-loaded Pawls
50, they must come down and contact the
Table Insert 12.
NOTE: The Anti-Kickback Device 26 is indepen-
dent of the Barrier Guard Assembly 25, so the
Anti-Kickback Device 26 can be attached before
the Barrier Guard Assembly 25.
