Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact our customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device cannot be
switched on.
The fuse in the fuse box
is triggered.
The brewing process
cannot be started.
Water runs out of the
device.
The porta昀椀lter (16)
cannot be inserted.
The espresso runs
along the outside of the
porta昀椀lter (16).
Despite a pumping
noise, no water comes
out of the device.
Possible cause
The mains plug is not inserted
correctly in the plug socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
Too many devices connected
to the same circuit.
The device has not yet reached
the correct brewing temperature.
There is too much water in the
water tank (6).
The steam power control (8)
is not in the
position.
The drip tray (13) is full.
There is too much espresso
powder in the porta昀椀lter.
The porta昀椀lter is not inserted
correctly.
The rim of the porta昀椀lter
is contaminated with
espresso powder.
There is no water in the water
tank (6).
The water tank is inserted
incorrectly.
Fix
Correct the 昀椀t of the mains plug.
Try another plug
socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Reduce the number of devices
in the circuit.
Wait until the device has heated
up or cooled down suf昀椀ciently.
Do not over昀椀ll the water tank!
Always move the selector switch
position when there is
to the
no vessel under the porta昀椀lter
outlet or the steam nozzle (9).
Empty the drip tray.
Add less espresso powder.
Make sure that it 昀椀ts correctly.
Clean the porta昀椀lter and the
sieve insert (17, 21).
Fill the water tank.
Take out the water tank and
reinsert it. Make sure that it 昀椀ts
correctly.
