OPERATION
1. Open the bleed air valve (63). The pump can now expel any air
trapped in.
2. Start the pump opening the pumps valve (pos. A), and increasing the
pressure with the regulating filter gradually (pos. B). The pump
starts operating.
TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOMS
The pump is not working or
there is no ink delivery.
The pump begins to operate
very fast.
Air leakage through the air outlet
muffler (80).
Oil output too low or diminishes
over time.
REPAIR AND CLEANING PROCEDURE
SEPARATE THE AIR MOTOR FROM THE PUMP (FIG. 3)
1. Disconnect the air motor supply (pos. D).
2. Unscrew the nut (51) and remove the air motor.
WARNING: Before starting any kind of maintenance or repair,
!
disconnect the compressed air supply and open a downstream
valve to relieve the oil pressure.
During the assembly, ensure to apply grease to all the seals.
CLEAN THE MUFFLER (FIG. 4)
1. Unscrew and remove the plug (76).
2. Remove the silencer diffuser (77).
3. Replace the felt (78) with a new one.
4. Refit the diffuser (77) together with the new felt (78).
5. Refit the plug (76).

POSSIBLE REASONS
Not enough air supply pressure.
Some outlet circuit element is clogged or closed.
The circlip of the trip shoe guide is dislodged.
There is an air pocket in the ink inlet area.
Pump dry-runing. The drum is empty.
Damaged or worn piston O ring (33).
The air seal (7) of the inverter assembly is damaged or worn.
Damaged or worn spool seals.
Contamination in the foot valve (74).
Contamination in the upper valve (71).
The exhaust felts (78) are clogged by compressed air dirt or
lubricant.
3. Close the pump air bleed valve (64) as soon as the material trapped
air is pumped out of the valve.
4. The pump starts to pump when an outlet valve is opened (pos. H), for
example a dispensing ink gun.
SOLUTIONS
Increase the air supply pressure.
Clean or open the outlet circuit.
Correct or replace the circlip.
Bleed the air in follower plate (63).
Replace the drum.
Replace O Ring (33).
Replace the air seal (7).
Replace the seals (4x11, 12 and 13).
Remove and clean. Replace if damaged.
Remove and clean. Replace if damaged.
Replace the muffler felt (78).
3. Separate slowly pump assembled from air motor until you see rod
union and pin (49).
4. Remove the pin (49) and unscrew drive coupling (50) from packing
rod (36) until it is loose.
