Using the IPM-400 to Read (cont'd)
Read Milliamp Outputs
Display: mA, mA%, DP%
This function measures from 0.00 mA to 24.00 mA or –25.0 to 125.0%.
1.
Turn the Selector knob to mA.
2.
Connect the black and red leads to the meter as shown.
3.
Repeatedly press the DISPLAY/SOURCE/READ button until "READ" appears on the
display.
4.
Repeatedly press the mA/%/%DP FLOW button until the desired function appears.
5.
Open the current loop at any convenient point along the signal path.
6.
Connect the red (+) lead of the meter to the more positive point of the break and the black
(–) lead to the more negative point. If "POL" appears on the display, reverse the leads for
correct indication.
7.
Use the toggle switch to view the maximum and minimum values.
