Singing Karaoke
Singing karaoke
Using the karaoke features you can plug in up to two micro-
phones and mix the sound of your own voice (or two people's
voices) with a backing track. The backing track can be anything
you like, from a song on the radio, to a dedicated karaoke CD.
1 Set MIC LEVEL to minimum.
2 Plug in the microphone(s).
• If the microphone has an on/off switch, make sure it's on.
• If you're using just one microphone, plug it into the
input.

3 Load a karaoke backing disc or tape.
You can also use the radio or a component connected to the
auxiliary inputs as source material for a backing track.
• If you're using a disc, make sure that you've selected the
correct disc to play.
• If you want to play from a track other than the first, select the
track now.
4 To change the mix, press KARAOKE.
Pressing repeatedly switches between these modes:
(voice cancel) – Takes out the vocals in the
KARAOKE
backing track.
– Plays the left channel only.
L CH
– Plays the right channel only.
R CH
+
– Normal stereo playback.
L
R CH
(stereo) – Normal stereo playback.
OFF
5 Play the backing track.
6 Adjust the MIC LEVEL to get the sound you want.
If when you turn the
MIC LEVEL
from the speakers, move the microphone(s) so that it points away
from the speakers.
7 Sing!
Note:
• Depending on the microphone level, the sound of the disc may
distort. If this happens, turn down the volume.
• You must turn the audio preset effect (see page 50) to
use any of the karaoke features.
