Operation
5.11.1 MANUAL Mode with gauge arm.
The gauge arm is used to enter the distance between
the machine and the rim, as well as the nominal rim
diameter.
Note: Wheel width must be entered manually.
• Make sure that the gauge arm (1) is in its home
position.
• Correctly position the gauge arm (2) on rim, so that
its reference point touches the rim reference point,
as shown by the arrow (Fig. 5-28). Keep arm in
measuring position until a short beep is heard to
indicate that the value has been acquired.
Note: a result recalculation can be performed by the
machine only after the start.
Select psi application positions by pressing on the
screen:
-
Selected positions (yellow)
-
Available positions (grey)
To shift to a different balancing Mode.
If more than one wheel of the same type needs to be
balanced (the same nominal dimensions) the data
need only be set for the first wheel. The selections
stay set until other new data are set or the machine
is switched off.
The alternative combinations vary based on the
starting measuring positions. The unbalance values
will automatically adapt to the new selections.
