This adjustment must be done by an authorized supplier
only.
Location Adjustment (fig.4.26).
•
Loosen and remove bolts A & B.
•
Move carriage to desired location.
•
Replace and tighten all bolts.
cAutIon!
The adjustment on each side of the chair should be
exactly equal.
Use a torque setting of 14Nm (120 in.-lbs). When setting-
up carriage.
Top Roller Replacement (fig.4.27)
cAutIon!
•
It is highly recommended to replace both top rollers
within each carriage assembly at the same time.
•
Do not use lubricants anywhere on the assembly.
To replace the top roller:
•
Loosen both plunger pin bracket nuts.
•
Loosen and remove both lower roller nuts (J), chassis
fastener nut (C), and base strut bolts (D) on both
sides. Remove base strut.
•
Slide the inner carriage plate (E) off the fasteners,
towards the center of the chair.
•
Loosen and remove both button head roller screws
(F).
•
Remove old top rollers (G) from the upper roller
shafts (H) and replace with new top rollers.
•
Reinstall the upper roller shafts (H) onto the inner
carriage plate (E), installing button head screws (F).
•
Reinstall the carriage plate (E) onto the frame
assembly. Replace and tighten the nuts (J, C) and strut
bolts (D).
•
Ensure that the plunger pin is centered and engaged
into a rocker hole and tighten plunger pin bracket
nuts.
•
Repeat on the other side of chair as necessary.

bottom Roller Replacement (fig.4.27-4.28)

•
It is highly recommended to replace both bottom
rollers within each carriage assembly at the same
time.
•
Do not use lubricants anywhere on the assembly.
•
Use a torque setting of 150 in.-lbs. when tightening
bottom roller nuts (J).
To replace the bottom roller:
•
Loosen both plunger pin bracket nuts.
•
Loosen and remove both lower roller nuts (J), chassis
fastener nut (C), and base strut bolts (D).
•
Slide the inner carriage plate (E) off the fasteners,
towards the center of the chair.
•
Remove old bottom rollers (I) from the roller bushings
(K) and replace with new bottom rollers.
•
Reinstall the carriage plate (E) onto the frame
assembly. Replace and tighten the nuts (J, C) and strut
bolts (D).
•
Ensure that the plunger pin is centered and engaged
into a rocker hole and tighten plunger pin bracket
nuts.
•
Repeat on the other side of chair as necessary.
WheeL LocKS
NOTE: Quickie wheelchairs are standard with wheel
locks. Wheel locks are installed at Sunrise Medical
unless omitted from the original order.
Adjustment (fig.4.29)
•
Loosen the screws (L). Do not attempt to remove one
screw at a time.
•
Slide assembly toward rear wheel until clamp
embeds into tire to prevent wheel movement, when in
locked position.
•
Tighten screws.
