Putting into operation
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to improper operation!
Improper operation can lead to injuries as well as damage to the device and its surroundings.
► Before putting into operation, it must be ensured that the contents of the operating instructions are known to the operating per-
sonnel and have been fully understood.
► The safety instructions and the intended use must be observed.
► Only adequately trained personnel may start up the system/device.
CAUTION!
Damage or functional failure due to incorrect connection!
An incorrect pneumatic connection can damage the RPC positioner. Prevent ingress of dirt and moisture with any open connections.
► Before putting into operation, ensure correct pneumatic connection according to the diagram.
► Perform a function test upon putting into operation.
► To maintain the IP65/IP67 protection rating, connect the control air outlet that is not required to the free control air connection
of the actuator or close it with a sealing plug.

Default settings of the Type RPC Positioner
NOTE!
The basic settings are made at the setting level.
To change from the process level to the setting level, press the MENU button for approx. 3 seconds.
You must make the following basic settings for putting into operation:
• Setting the input signal (INPUT)
• Automatic adjustment of the positioner (X.TUNE)

Setting the input signal (INPUT)
With this setting, the input signal for the setpoint value is selected.

Press for 3 s. Change from process level to setting level.
X.TUNE
selection.
INPUT
selection. The possible input signals for INPUT are displayed.
ENTER
Select input signal (4 - 20 mA, 0 - 20 mA, ...).
SELECT
selection. The selected input signal is now marked by a filled circle.
EXIT
selection. Return to the main menu (MAIN).
EXIT
selection. Change from setting level to process level.
