SP-SCALE
P.CO-INIT
NOTE!
Automatic parameter setting can be performed using the P.TUNE function (for description see chapter P.TUNE).
7.2.2
Re-optimization of the control loop on the basis of the actual characteristics
Color
Description
Blue
Current value approaches the reference value
only slowly with slight oscillations.
Light blue
Current value approaches the reference value
without overshooting significantly.
Red
Current value approaches the reference value
quickly, but overshoots by a large amount. The
oscillations are damped and thus just stable.
Scaling of the positioner (only with external setpoint input)
Enables shock-free switching between AUTOMATIC and
MANUAL

Setting rule
Increase the proportional component. If this leads to an im-
provement, then reduce the derivative time (differentiation
time). Repeat this until a satisfactory controller result is
achieved.
Optimal controller behavior for processes that do not allow
overshooting.
Reduce the proportional component. If this leads to an impro-
vement, then increase the integration time. Repeat this until a
satisfactory controller result is achieved.
