The cooling unit factory setting is "OFF", thus this setting
must be changed the first time the welding system is used
(see Instructions Manual).

MAINTENANCE.
ANY INTERNAL INSPECTIONS OR REPAIRS MUST
BE CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
BEFORE BEGINNING MAINTENANCE OPERA-
TIONS, UNPLUG THE MACHINE FROM THE MAINS
AND WAIT FOR THE INTERNAL CAPACITORS TO
DISCHARGE (1 MINUTE).
3.1
Periodic inspection, cleaning.
Periodically make sure that the equipment and all connec-
tions are in proper condition to ensure operator safety.
Periodically open the power board (56) protection carter
and check inside the ventilation tunnel.
EN
Remove any dirt or dust to ensure smooth air flow and
thus adequate cooling of the internal parts of the power
source.
Check that the fans work correctly, remove any iron dust
on power transformer (57), IGBT group (U1A-A_B) and
secondary diodes (D18, D19, D22, D23), carefully clean
all the electronic components with a jet of air kept at dis-
tance, making sure that any iron dust does not penetrate
between heat sinks and components.
Remove any dirt or metal dust from the wire feed liner and
gearmotor unit, making sure that they are not worn to the
point of needing replacement.
Check the condition of the output terminals, output
and power supply cables of the power source; replace if
damaged.
Check the condition of the internal power connections and
connectors on the electronic boards; if you find "loose"
connections, tighten or replace the connectors.
3.2
Power source fittings, commands and signals.
See Fig. 3.2.a, 3.2.b, 3.2.c, 3.2.d , 3.2.e and power source
Instructions Manual.

WARNINGS
3.3
Troubleshooting.
NOTE
Items in boldface describe problems that may occur on
the machine (symptoms).
□ Operations preceded by this symbol refer to situations
the operator must determine (causes).
■ ♦ Operations preceded by these symbols refer to ac-
tions the operator must perform in order to solve the
problems (solutions).
3.3.1
The power source does not start, control
panel off.
MAINS SUITABILITY TEST.
□ No voltage for mains protection.
NO
Correct?
♦ Eliminate any short-circuits or isolation leaks
towards earth on the connections between
power cord, switch (14) and IN-L1, IN-L2,
IN-L3 terminals on power board (56).
♦ Make sure the B1 rectifier bridge on power
board (56) is not in short circuit.
♦ Mains not suitable to power the power source
(e.g.: insufficient installed power).
♦ Replace power board (56).
MAINS CONNECTION TEST.
□ Terminals IN-L1, IN-L2, IN-L3 on power board (56) =
3 x 400 Vac, with switch (14) closed.
YES
Correct?
♦ Check connections between switch (14) and
power board (56).
♦ Check power cord and plug.
♦ Check switch (14).
♦ Check the mains voltage conditions.
