WARNING
1. Remove the barrier-guard device and the anti-kickback device.
2. Turn the elevation wheel and raise the blade as high as it will go.
3. Align the blade to the miter gauge slots per instructions: Adjusting Blade Parallel To The
Miter Gauge Slots.
4. Lock the fence onto Post A on the right side (close to blade), see Fig. 28.
5. Slide the fence over to touch blade and lock the fence lock lever.
6. The blade should contact fence evenly, front to back. If it does not, use a 5 mm hex
wrench to loosen the appropriate fence post (front and/or back). Slide the post left or right,
as needed, and then securely tighten post(s).
7. Repeat until the fence touches the blade evenly.
8. To adjust the rip fence pointer to zero, use a 5 mm hex wrench to loosen the bolt and slide
the pointer to line up with zero on the white scale. Retighten the bolt. (Fig. 29)
9. Lock the fence onto Post B on the right side. Measure from the front of blade to the fence
and from the back of blade to the fence. Both must be 4". If not, use a 5 mm hex wrench
to loosen the appropriate fence post (front and/or back). Slide the post left or right as
needed, and tighten it securely.
10. Lock the fence onto Post C of the left side.
11. Slide the fence over to touch blade and lock the fence-lock lever.
12. The blade should contact fence evenly, front to back. If not, use a 5 mm hex wrench
to loosen the appropriate fence post (front and/or back). Slide the post left or right, as
needed, and tighten it securely.
13. Repeat until the fence touches the blade evenly.
14. Make two or three test cuts on scrap wood from each fence location. If the cuts are not
true, repeat the process.

Aligning Riving Knife
IMPORTANT: The riving knife must always be in line with the saw blade. The riving knife is
thinner than the width of the kerf by approximately three thicknesses of paper on each side
(Fig. 31).
NOTE: The kerf is the width of the cut made by the teeth on the saw blade.

To prevent personal injury, always make sure that the rip fence is
locked before making rip cuts .
