You must press the switch:
- immediately after automatic disengagement of the mowing deck and before the blades stop rotating (approx.
5 seconds).
- with the mowing deck running, immediately before stepping on the reverse pedal (approx. 5 seconds).
When the reverse travel pedal is released, the automatic disengagement of the mowing deck is again activated.
When using the R button function, pay exceptional attention to the area behind the mower when
reversing!
5.8 OPERATING THE GRASS CATCHER
The movement of the grass catcher is controlled using two switches located on the right mudguard next to the
driver's seat:
- the left switch serves to lift and lower the grass catcher;
- the right switch serves to open and close the grass catcher.
LIFTING AND LOWERING THE GRASS CATCHER
The "LIFT CATCHER" switch serves to move the grass catcher up and down. It is necessary to hold down the
switch for the grass catcher to move. The movement of the grass catcher is stopped by releasing the switch in
any position of the grass catcher on the above the ground.
The speed of movement for lifting/lowering depends on engine speed and turning of the steering wheel.
If, for example, you are lifting the grass catcher and at the same time travelling with a low engine speed
and/or turning the steering wheel, the speed of the grass catcher will slow down. This is normal and is
not grounds for complaint.
ATTENTION: The mower is equipped with a function, where the grass catcher is automatically pulled
in towards the frame of the mower, which ensures the correct position of the grass catcher in the work
position. The pull-in occurs 2× within a 2-minute interval (1× per 60 s). Not completing the pull-in within
this interval, e.g. by turning off the engine or leaving the seat, may result in the small chute sliding
out and its flap being crimped or the grass catcher present signal may be lost, which may lead to the
mowing deck being turned off.
If this happens, press the lower grass catcher button. The grass catcher will automatically pull itself in
to the correct work position.
OPENING AND CLOSING THE GRASS CATCHER
The OPEN CATCHER switch serves to open and dump out the grass catcher. It is necessary to hold down
the switch for the grass catcher to move. The opening of the grass catcher can be stopped in any position by
releasing the switch.
The end positions of the grass catcher are indicated by a so-called "rattling" coupling. Therefore, the noise is
normal and this is not a defect, which would form grounds for complaint.
Both movements (lifting/lowering and opening/closing) are independent of each other.
FULL GRASS CATCHER INDICATION
The full grass catcher is monitored by means of a sensor inside the grass catcher and is indicated by means
of an indicator on the information panel. The level of fullness (volume of mowed material) needs to be adjusted
according to the current condition of vegetation (dry-wet, long-short).
The sensor can easily be adjusted without needing tools:
