Damaged or cracked blades

REMEDY
Check the condition of the blades and
sharpen or replace as necessary.
Check the condition of the bearings on
the counter shaft.
Check the universal gear.
Check the condition of the angular
gearboxes and their oil level.
Check the mounting of the mowing
deck.
Check the condition of the the belts.
Perhaps one of the belts jumped out
of the belt pulley or was damaged.
Replace it if necessary.
Check the tension of the drive belts
and tension them if necessary.
Check the set mowing height, adjust if
necessary.
Check the movement of the the belts
and remove all foreign objects or dirt if
necessary.
Recheck all the belt pulleys. Buckled
or cracked belt pulleys may cause
problems. Replace if necessary.
Check the parts of the tensioning
mechanism for wear and replace if
necessary.
If the grass is too tall or wet, the
mowing deck drive belts may slip
through.
Check the tension of the drive belts
and tension them if necessary.
Check the spring of the mowing deck
