7.2 Test the inductive conductivity sensor
1. Disconnect the sensor from the ultrapure conductivity module. Keep the sensor in the process.
2. Measure and compare the resistance between the wires. Refer to the table that follows.
If the measurement values are similar to the resistance values given in the table above, the
operation of the sensor is correct.

3. If the measurement values are not satisfactory, do the steps that follow:
a. Set T-compensation to None. Refer to
b. Do a Zero calibration
c. Do a Resistor calibration
d. Put a 5 kΩ, 500 Ω, 50 Ω and then a 5 Ω resistor loop through the sensor. Refer to
on page 12.
e. Compare the conductivity measurements shown on the display with the values in the table
that follows.

7.3 Diagnostics/Test menu
The Diagnostics/Test menu shows current and historical information about the sensor. Refer to
Table 2. Push the main menu icon, then select Devices. Select the device and select Device menu
> Diagnostics/Test.

Table 2 Diagnostics/Test menu
Description
Shows information about the sensor module.
Shows the sensor name and the serial number entered by the user.
Shows the number of days since the last calibration was done.
Shows a list of all calibrations by date/time stamp. Use the arrows keys to
select a calibration, then push OK to show the details.
For service use only
Shows the current sensor signal information.
Shows the number of days that the sensor has been in operation.
Note: When Sensor days is selected, the user is asked if they want to reset the counter to
zero and sets the calibration data to the defaults.
