3. PROGRAMMING THE LRS-03
Once the LRS-03 has been correctly installed, it is ready for programming. Programme the
LRS-03 from the keyboard as follows:
Remove the seal from the program key.
Press the program key. A message will appear on the LCD screen requesting the 4-digit
password. The initial (ex-factory) password is blank. Access by pressing ENTER (C).
Once the password has been confirmed, choose the Keyboard option from the menu.
You will then accede to the programming menu.
To move around the programming menu use the arrow keys (A) and (B). To select an
option, press ENTER (C). To exit from any option, press the ESCAPE (E) key. During the
programming phase, the LRS-03 attenuates 60 dB.
The programming menu has the following options:
 Date – Time: This allows you to change the date and time that govern the LRS-03. You
may also automatically change to standard summer time.
 Sessions timetablee: This option allows you to introduce the establishment's opening
schedule for each day of the week. The schedule must comply with the following
prerequisites:
The beginning of the interval must belong to the day of the week being
programmed.
The interval must be less than 24 h.
The interval may end on the following day to the one being programmed.
The schedules corresponding to adjacent days may not overlap.
NOTE: It is important to remember that the LRS-03 attenuates 60 dB outside the
session schedules. If you do not want this to happen, each day must be programmed
with 24-hour sessions.
 Regulation: With this option all the information related to the regulation the
establishment has to comply with can be entered.
NOTE: All this information can be found in the regulations applicable to the
establishment. In these regulations, the day-time and night timetables for evaluating
sound pressure level and also the maximum permitted levels for every kind of
establishment and for each evaluating-period can be found.
 Operation mode: This option allows you to select the parameter with which the sound
pressure level will be measured and evaluated: equivalent continuous level during 1
second (Leq1s) or "fast" time weighted level (LF). The LF control mode is the fastest one
but introduces sudden changes in the music level. The Leq1s control mode assures a
progressive change of the music level without excessively sudden changes.
NOTE: The Leq1s is recommended for normal use and the LF for rooms with low acoustic
insulation or when the regulation suggests explicitly.
 Attenuation time: This allows you to enter the length of the penalisation of 60 dB that will
be applied when the attenuation necessary for the sound pressure level not to exceed
the programmed limit is greater than 40 dB. If 0 seconds are programmed, this 60-dB
attenuation will not occur.
Non-working periods: This allows programming up to 30 different non-working periods.
In these periods the sound pressure level limits can be exceeded without penalisation.
