6. MENU ITEMS IN DETAIL
6.1 TRACK (TRACKING ASSISTANT)
Select one of the last three measurements directly on the
binoculars in order to be guided to the target area by the
EL Range.
Measure back to your original starting point (from where the
selected measurement was made).
The display shows how many meters/yards to left/right or
forward/backward you have to move to get into the measu-
rement area. Measuring range is usually more accurate
than measuring direction, so you see an arc-shaped search
field. Once you no longer need to correct the range and the
lateral deviation has been reduced
to a minimum, it is best to start the
search in the form of an arc, keeping
a constant distance from the location
of the original measurement.

Leave "Track" by pressing and holding the mode button for
2 seconds. You have to actively exit this mode. It does not
time out.
6.2 TRACKING ASSISTANT VIA APP
Establish a Bluetooth connection as described in 5.3. Select
one of the last three measurements of your EL Range.
Either select your start point manually or let it be displayed
automatically (please note you can only do this if you are
still in the exact position where the measurement was taken).
Once you are in the target area, start an arc-shaped search
as described in 6.1.
6.3 COMP – CALIBRATING THE COMPASS
We recommend calibrating the compass regularly to ensu-
re maximum precision of both the compass and Tracking
Assistant. Activate calibration via the measurement button
in the "Comp" program. The LED light on the bottom of the
instrument flashes red when calibration begins. Now turn the
instrument evenly on each axis until the red light goes out and
the calibration is finished. You can actively exit this mode by
pressing the measurement button.
Recalibration is recommended when
moving to a different hunting ground
or in the event of major temperature
fluctuations.
Metal objects such as a car or
power mast may affect the direction
of the compass and the calibration. If you are taking a measu-
rement near your rifle, we recommend doing it at least 40
cm/16 in away from the barrel.
Note:
A wristwatch with a magnetic clasp may significantly affect
the measurement.
