draulic unit unless the hydraulic unit is switched off.
Some model versions of the welding system ship in a trans-
port box. A system shipped in a transport box should be
stored and transported in that box at any time.

Identifying the Product
Every product is identified by a name plate. It shows the
most important specifications, the model, the serial number,
and the manufacturer. The first two digits of the serial num-
ber represent the year of manufacture.

Understanding the Product
This butt-welding system for plastics can be used both as an
on-site and as a workshop installation, for jointing opera-
tions pipe-to-pipe, but also for processing tees and elbows
(see Sect. 3.4 for more detailed information).
3.1
Content of Delivery
• RFID card with access code of configuration menu
• Tools
• Machine chassis ("basic machine") to secure the parts to
be welded
• Electrical heating element with anti-stick coating
• Electrical facing tool
• Carrying and storage rack for heating element and fac-
ing tool
• Hydraulic and control unit with control panel
• Reducer inserts in the applicable range (refer to Sect. 3.4)
for clamps
• Transport box (model versions with basic machine chas-
sis up to 315 mm)
3.2
Control Panel
An Emergency Stop switch is provided on the control panel
(see figure on next page) to abort the welding process if
needed in order to avoid hazardous situations. If the Emer-
gency Stop switch is pressed, it stops the power supply to the
facing tool, the heating element, the hydraulic circuit (dis-
charge of pressure, if applied), and the power supply socket.
Power is further supplied to the micro-controller board (the
display screen keeps working).
When it was pressed, the Emergency Stop switch is
locked. When the hazard is cleared, the switch has
to be unlocked by turning the pushbutton clock-
