Question/Problem - Cause
Causa
The combustion engine does not start:
• The throttle knob is set to stop position;
• The fuel tank is empty;
The fuel line is clogged;
The fuel tap is closed;
• The fuel in the tank is of poor quality, has water, is
dirty or is already old;
• The cap has been removed from the spark plug;
The spark plug wire is not well connected;
• The spark plug has soot or is damaged; Wrong gap
between the electrodes;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The combustion engine is "wet" due to many
attempts for starting it;
• Very ow oil level;
Start-up difficulties or reduced combustion engine power:
• Presence of water in fuel tank and carburettor;
Carburettor is clogged;
• The fuel tank is dirty;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The spark plug has soot;
The engine runs irregularly:
• The air filter is dirty;
The combustion engine overheats:
• The ventilation slots are dirty;
• Low engine oil level;
• The surface of the combustion engine is covered with
dirt;
The petrol tiller is smoking:
• Oil level too high;
• The air filter is dirty;
Strong vibrations while operating:
• Loose engine housing;
Low performance:
• Tines are assembled incorrectly;
• Tines are worn out;
• Depth rod is wrongly adjusted;
No powered delivered:
• Tines are not coupled to the drive shaft;
Loud noise in the gearbox:
• The gearbox oil level is too low;
Solution
• Set it to start position;
• Fill the tank;
Clean the fuel line, unscrew the carburettor drain plug
and open the fuel tap;
Open the fuel tap;
• Use new fuel (unleaded petrol),
Clean the carburettor;
• Fit the cap into the spark plug;
Connect it;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
Adjust the gap between the electrodes;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Loosen the spark plug and dry it, pull the recoil starter
several times, with the spark plug unscrewed;
• Top up to the appropriate level;
• Empty the fuel tank;
Clean the fuel lines and carburettor;
• Clean the fuel tank;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean the ventilation slots;
• Top up;
• Remove the dirt;
• Adjust oil level;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Tighten the engine fixing bolts;
• Assemble the tines correctly;
• Replace the tines;
• Adjust the depth rod;
• Fix them;
• Check gearbox oil level and adjust if necessary;
