Ceramill Therm is a high-temperature chamber
kiln for final sintering dental oxide ceramics,
especially Ceramill ZI blanks. The sintering furn-
ace exhibits 3 temperature programmes preset
by the manufacturer, which are tailored to the
Ceramill ZI framework material (Y-TZP ZrO
pre-sintered). An additional programme location
can be freely programmed. The stackable sinte-
ring bowl filled with sintering balls (178311) serves
to sinter the Ceramill ZI frameworks (178360).
unPackIng anD checkIng
Unpack the Ceramill Therm Sintering Furnace
carefully. Two people people must carry it when
transporting it. Never lift up by the door! Remove
all packaging materal from the door and chamber.
After the furnace has been delivered and unpacked,
check that all the individual parts are complete.
Check also for any possible damage in transit and
the integrity of the three heating elements. If any
damage should have arisen during transit, please
notify the supplier immediately.
settIng uP the DeVIce/asseMBly
Place the furnace in a well-ventilated room, not
close to other heat sources and on a fireproof
16
base. See to it that there is sufficient free space
around the furnace and that the ventilation slits
are not covered.
cautIOn! Do not connect the power cable sup-
plied with the device before the heating elements
have been fitted.
No fumes arise when sintering Ceramill ZI frame-
works, i.e. the furnace does not have to be placed
under an extraction hood. Erect the furnace in
such a way that the mains switch or mains plug
are within easy reach so that the furnace can be
quickly disconnected from the power supply in an
emergency. The mains supply must have an earth
(green and yellow cable).
cautIOn! The manufacture accepts no liability
for any damage arising from improper installation.

Detailed training to commission the furnace will
2
take place during the Ceramill courses. In cases
of doubt regarding the starting up of the furnace,
please consult an authorised service provider/
electrician!
Before starting it up, check that the voltage
specified on the label on the back of the casing
corresponds to the mains voltage available.
Commissioning the furnace requires the following
parts that have been delivered separately:
_ 3 heating elements
_ 6 bolts with nuts width across 10
_ 12 washers
_ 2 conductor lines
_ Ceramic plate for furnace base
_ Hexagon wrench key for rear wall screws
