5.2 Demounting tires
5.2.1 Bead Breaking
• Remove all weights from the rim.
• Remove the valve and deflate the tire (Fig. 5.1-1).
Note: If necessary, install the plastic protection
on the bead breaker blade.
ATTENTION: IF THE VALVE HAS A PRESSURE
SENSOR (T.P.M.S.), PAY ATTENTION NOT TO
DAMAGE IT..
• Press down the lever to open the bead breaker arm
(Fig. 5.1-2) and position the wheel with the valve
side facing out and diametrically opposed to the
bead breaker blade.
• Lubricate the bead and rim with a tire-specific
lubricant only (Fig. 5.1-3).
• Pull the lever upwards to start the bead breaking
operation.
WARNING: DO NOT KEEP THE CONTROL LEVER
LONGER THAN NECESSARY. THIS COULD
DAMAGE THE TIRE BEAD.
• Open the bead breaker arm and change the bead
breaking position. During that steps lubricate bead
and rim.
• Turn the tire and break the inner bead.
ATTENZIONE: ONCE COMPLETED, THE BEAD
BREAKER ARM MUST BE CLOSED.
