Operations
Connect the compressed air hose to the valve (1,
Figure 5.3-1).
Operate the compressed air to ensure the beads
are seated.
Beading tubeless tires is sometimes difficult because
the beads may be very close to each other (e.g. due to
incorrect storage) thus not permitting a correct sealing
against the rim.
In this event it may be helpful to place the wheel on
the floor in a vertical position and 'bounce' it while
introducing air with the pedal control or with the Inflator
Gauge (Fig. 5.3-2).
STOP THE COMPRESSED AIR AS SOON AS THE
BEADS GRIP THE RIM WELL.
Place the wheel in a type-approved cage to finish
inflating and completely settle the beads in their
seats on the rim.
Beading with the bead seater device:
The machine can be provided with a bead seater
device, necessary for bead seating of tubeless tires.
Connect the compressed air hose to the valve (1,
Fig. 5.3-3).
Position the bead seater device beading nozzle
between tire and rim, pointing the air jet inside the
tire (2, Fig. 5.3-3).
Press the inflation pedal (3, Fig. 5.3-4) and the
button (4) on the Nozzle. The injectors (5) eject a
large volume of air and the tire beads properly seal
the rim flanges allowing the subsequent inflation.
STOP THE COMPRESSED AIR AS SOON AS THE
BEADS GRIP THE RIM WELL.
Place the wheel in a type-approved cage to finish
inflating and completely settle the beads in their
seats on the rim.
CAUTION: WHEN OPERATING THE BEADING
DEVICE IT IS COMPULSORY TO WEAR EAR
