AUTOMATIC TIMER RECORDING
Up to six timer programs can be set for once, daily, or weekly recording
within one month of the current date. Do this procedure on the remote
control.
Before programming,
check that
The date and clock are set correctly.
The channel to record is preset,
The COLOR SYSTEM is set to "AUTO
or to the cc)lor system of the
input source. (See page 30.)
A cassette with its erasure prevention tab intact is inserted.
The cassette is long enough for the recording.

Press the REC SYSTEM (NTSC, PAL) buttcm to select the
color system for recording.
Press the NTSC button for recording using the NTSC system. For
using the PAL system press the PAL button.

Press the MENU button.
The main MENU screen appears.
Select"1
PROGRAM 'TIMER" from the MENU screen.
Press the >
button.
The program timer screen appears.
Select a vacant timer program pchsitionm
Press the
V
or A button to select the position.
Set the channel, day, recording lime, and the rt?corcfing
speed.
Select the item with the <
or>
button. The selected item flashes.
Change the item with the V or A button.

The illustration shows a program to record channel 4 on the 10tF day,
from 10:00 Atvl to 11:00 AM at SP speed.
Press the MENU button to enter the program.
Press the
T-REC button to enter the 'timer standby
mode.
The unit turns off, and the l-[
indicator on the main unit Iigllts in
the display.
To change an incorrect item
While setting, press the <
or >
button to the item to correct. l-hen,
reenter with the
V
or A button. When finished, press the MENU bUttOn.

When the COLOR SYSTEM
is set to "NTSC,
the recording speed is
displayed as 'LSP or "LP. This "LP means EP, and the actual recording
speed is EP.
