Setting Up
Note: Make sure to leave a space of at least 10 cm between the appliance and
surrounding objects and walls to allow steam to escape. The device has a steam
outlet on the back of the device that releases excess moisture from the food as
steam. Do not block the steam outlet.
Place the device on a level, clean and heat-resistant work surface:
•
far away from water and other liquids. Otherwise, the device may fall into the
water and cause an electric shock.
•
far from hot surfaces and sources of heat, such as heaters, stoves, ovens,
open flames and direct sunlight. The material of the device can melt due to
the heat and expose the live parts of the device. This can cause a short circuit
and a fire as a result.
•
far from flammable objects or materials to reduce the risk of fire.
•
far from explosive and flammable gases. The device contains metal parts that
rub against each other and can cause ignition of combustible gases by sparks.
•
Do not place anything on the device.
First operation
Before actually use, carry out an idle run of the device without filling.

Disconnect the device from the mains.

Insert the drip tray and cooking bases as described in INSTALLING THE
COMPONENTS.

Connect the device to the mains. A signal tone sounds. The display and all
indicators light up briefly.

Press the On/Off button to turn on the device.

The program overview is located next to the MENU button. Each program
is assigned an icon. By pressing the MENU button several times, you can
navigate through the programs one after the other, starting in the first line at
the top left and ending with the second line at the bottom right. The currently
active program symbol lights up. Press the MENU button repeatedly until the
POPCORN program lights up in the program overview. You have selected the
POPCORN program.
