OPERATION
Important safety instructions
•
The inside of the appliance, the food, the cooking surfaces and the steam
outlet on the back of the appliance are
•
hot during and after operation. Depending on the type of food, steam may
escape from the appliance. Always wear oven gloves when handling the
device.
•
Always grip the cooking surfaces and food with heat-resistant, food-safe
kitchen utensils to avoid burns, scalding and damage to the device and
accessories.
•
If necessary, wear long-sleeved clothing to protect exposed parts of the body
from steam and any hot food juices escaping from the food.
Switching the device on and off
•
Switching on: Connect the device to the mains. The device beeps. The display
and all indicators light up briefly and then go out. The device is now in standby
mode and ready for use.
•
Power off: To turn off the device, press the On/Off button. You can turn off
the device completely by unplugging the power cord from the power outlet.
Pausing the cooking process
During the cooking process, the appliance stops automatically:
•
when you press the On/Off button,
•
when you open the door. In this case, all buttons are inactive except for the
"On/Off", "Preset" and "Rotisserie" buttons. Close the door to continue
cooking.
Note: If you open the door and don't close it within 30 minutes, the device will
turn off automatically. All program presets and manual settings will be reset.
If you press the On/Off button while the appliance door is open, a warning tone
will sound. This is a safety feature to protect you from accidental burns from hot
air blowing from inside the appliance if you try to start a program with the door
open. Close the door and then press the On/Off button.
