4. Mount the bar with the chain installed by inserting
the tensioning bolt into the hole in the bar (1) and
placing the chain around the drive sprocket (2).
(1)
5. Fit the chain cover ensuring that the tensioning bolt
remains in the hole in the bar.
6. Install the cap nut and lightly finger-tighten.
7. Tension the chain by turning the chain tensioning
screw (1). Turn clockwise to slack or counterclockwise
to slack the chain until the chain tension is correct.

8. Apriete fuertemente la tuerca de la tapa.
comenzar a usarse. Verifique y regule regularmente
la tensión de la cadena. Una cadena incorrectamente
tensada se desgastará rápidamente y desgastará la
guía de la barra de la cadena.
5.2.6. CHAIN TENSIONING
1. Make sure the chain is inside the bar guide groove.
2. Loosen the chain cover nut.
3. Turn the chain tensioning screw (1) clockwise to
tighten or counterclockwise to slack the chain until the
chain tension is correct.
to. Example (A) corresponds to a chain that is too tight.
b. Example (B) corresponds to a chain that is too
slack.
4. Tighten the chain cover nut.
NOTES: The chain expands with heat. When the chain
is cold the tension will be higher than when it is hot.
