Check that there are no cracks and the level of play
in the bearing. If you notice that the clearance is
important, any damage or crack, replace it.
When you disassemble the bar, take the opportunity to
remove the remains of wood and sawdust in the area
of the lubrication hole (1) and the guide (2).
7.1.5. DRIVE SPROCKET
The drive pinion is subject to high wear. Check the
drive pinion and if you detect deep wear marks or loss
of material in any tooth, send your machine to the
technical service for replacement.
7.1.6. MAINTENANCE OF THE HEDGE TRIMMER
BLADE
After each use, spray the blades of the hedge trimmer
with the Garland BLADE MAINTENANCE SPRAY ref
7100000250, not included with this machine and
which you can find at www.recaball.com, wait 1
minute for it to take effect and turn on the hedge
trimmer for a few seconds when empty. Attach the
blade guard and your hedge trimmer is ready for its
next use.
The cutting blades of this machine are made of high-
quality metal and do not need to be sharpened. If the
blade accidentally becomes entangled in wire mesh,
touches a rock, or other hard object, a nick can occur
on the blade edge. If this notch does not prevent the
correct movement of the blade, you can continue
using the machine. If this notch interferes with the
correct operation of the blade, take the machine to a
technical service.
7.1.7. ENGINE VENTILATION DUCTS
Remove dirt from the ventilation ducts, in order not to
damage the motor and avoid a possible fire.
7.1.8 GREASING THE HEAD
Grease the head every 8 hours of use.
