Production Mode Operation - Follow the steps below to run in Production Mode
WARNING: Oxygen and Fuel will begin flowing into the mass flow controllers (MFC) immediately. In order to
prevent damage to the MFCs, it is recommended that the unit not remain in Production Mode for extended
periods unless the attached torch is ignited.
Production Mode – Display Options
Fields that are displayed on the Production Mode screen may be disabled and enabled by authorized users as needed. Follow the steps below to change
Display Options.
1. Press Production Mode on either the Main Menu or the Setup Menu.
2. Select the checkbox for the desired Job Setting. NOTE: only one Job
Setting may be run in Production Mode at any time.
3. Press Done to start brazing.
4. Ignite the torch. Actual fuel gas and oxygen flow rates as well as
calculated Flame Chemistry values will display on the screen.
WARNING: Fuel gas and oxygen flow rates cannot be
adjusted while the unit is running in Production Mode.
5. Depress the foot pedal to toggle through the flame settings as needed.
When the foot pedal is depressed, the Flame Setting position and
Flame Setting name will be displayed on the screen for approximately
3 seconds. There may be a slight fluctuation visible in the flame as it
adjusts to the new setting.
Continue to toggle as needed by depressing the foot pedal.
6. To stop the flame:
a. Use the shutoff valve on the torch
b. Press IDEL to stop gas flow. Press ACTIVE to restart gas flow.
c. Press Home button if the system will not be in use for an extended
time. Any of these actions will cause the MFCs to stop flowing
gas; however, the unit should not be left in Production Mode for an
extended period with the torch unlit to prevent damage to the MFCs.
7. To change to a new Job Setting (if available), press Select New Job. This
will cause the torch to shut off. Select a new Job Setting by following the
steps above starting at step 2. Once the new Job Setting is selected, the
torch can be re-ignited.
1. While in Production Mode, press Display Options. NOTE: the system
password is required to access this functionality.
2. Select the checkbox next to the field(s) you wish to hide. Select the
checkbox again to unhide. Press Display All to toggle all checkboxes on
the screen.
3. Press Save and Close to save and return to the Production Mode screen.
4. NOTE: The system will keep the selected display options, regardless of
the job being run, until they are changed.
