Maintenance
Service intervals and the service content can be found
in the Service Protocol available for download at www.
volvopenta.com.
For D4/D6-SOLAS, the additional points must be
followed. When both operating hours and calendar-
based service intervals are given, maintenance is to
be performed at the interval that occurs first.
Before performing any work, read carefully through
the chapter "Maintenance" in the Operator's Manual
for the D4/D6. It contains instructions for correct and
safe working procedures.
Recommendation:
before a dry test run, pour a glass of water into the
seawater filter. This will benefit the lifetime of the
impeller.
Make sure that sea cocks always
are open. Even during dry test run.
