4. PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
Fuel system damage or performance problems resulting from the use of an
oxygenated fuel containing more than the percentages of oxygenates
mentioned above are not covered under warranty.
Air Cleaner Inspection
Remove cover [1]. Make sure the filter [2] is clean and in good condition. A
dirty air filter will restrict air flow to the carburetor, reducing engine
performance. Refer to page 46 for air cleaner service.

Handlebar Height Adjustment
Handlebar [1] height can be adjusted to three positions: high [2], middle [3],
and low [4].
1. Loosen the handlebar locking knobs [5].
2. Spread the lower ends of the handlebar to release the locating pins [6].
3. Move the handlebar up or down, so the locating pins engage other holes
on the handlebar mounting brackets.
4. Tighten the handlebar locking knobs securely.
