Carburetor Adjustments
1. Start the engine outdoors, and allow it to warm up to normal operating
temperature.
2. Set the throttle lever in the slow position.
3. Turn the pilot screw [1] in or out to the setting that produces the highest
idle rpm. The correct setting will usually be approximately 2 turns out from
the fully closed position.
4. After the pilot screw is correctly adjusted and the blade control is
disengaged, turn throttle stop screw [2] to obtain the standard idle speed.
Standard idle speed:
1,700 ± 150 rpm
