Operation
WARNING
■ In certain situations, the user may no
longer be able to concentrate on their
work. This may result in the user
stumbling, falling and suffering seri‐
ous injury.
► Work calmly and methodically.
► If light and visibility are poor: Do
not use the telescoping wand.
► Operate the telescoping wand by
yourself.
► Watch out for obstacles.
► Work standing on the ground and
keep your balance. If you have to
work at a height: Use a mobile ele‐
vating work platform or secure
scaffolding.
► If you start feeling fatigue: Take a
break.
■ If the telescoping wand starts behav‐
ing differently or in an unusual way
while operating, the telescoping wand
may be in an unsafe condition. This
may result in serious injury to people
and damage to property.
► Stop work and consult a STIHL
authorized dealer.
■ When the spray gun trigger is
released, the high-pressure pump
switches off automatically and water
14
stops flowing out of the nozzle. The
high-pressure washer is then in
stand-by mode and is still switched
on. If the spray gun trigger is
squeezed, the high-pressure pump
switches on again automatically and
water flows out of the nozzle. This
may result in serious injury to people
and damage to property.
► When not operating the machine:
Lock the spray gun trigger.
■ If the telescoping wand is laid down
on a sloping, rough or loose surface,
it may move and fall over. Damage to
property may occur.
► Place the telescoping wand on a
horizontal, level and hard surface.
► Secure the telescoping wand so
that it cannot move or fall over.
■ An incorrectly routed high-pressure
hose may suffer damage. As a result
of the damage, water under high
pressure may escape uncontrolled
into the surrounding area. This may
result in serious injury to people and
damage to property.
► Route the high-pressure hose so
that it is not under tension or tan‐
gled.
► Route the high-pressure hose so
that it will not be damaged, kinked
or crushed, or chafed.
■ The strong water jet produces reac‐
tive forces. The user may lose control
of the telescoping wand due to the
reaction forces that occur. The user
may be seriously injured and property
damage may occur.
► Hold the telescoping wand firmly
with both hands.
► Work as described in this User
Manual.
