the forward and backward movement. The product travels to-
wards the gauge plate by its weight (gravity).
• When the products dimensions or weight do not provide a
satisfactory cut with gravity, use the product grip handle (fig.
12/pos. 12).
• Return the thickness control knob (fig. 9/pos. 4) back to posi-
tion 0 after work is done. Draw the carriage back.
• Stop the blade by pressing the Stop button (fig. 7/pos. 2)
Manual slicing (210949)
• Place the product on the product tray.
• Rotate the selector (fig. 8/pos. 4a) clockwise to MANUAL
mode.
• Turn the appliance on (fig. 8/pos. 1). Press blade motor start/
stop key (fig. 25/pos. C) to start blade's rotation.
• Make sure the slice thickness regulation knob (fig. 9/pos. 4)
is correctly set to 0.
• Draw back the carriage (fig. 13/pos. 8) completely (towards
the operator) to loading position.
• Lift the product grip (fig. 13/pos. 10) by pulling it away by
10 cm from the blade and put it in rest position.
• Lay the product to be sliced on the carriage (fig. 14/pos. 8)
against the wall on the operator side.
• Secure the product by exerting a slight pressure with the
product grip (fig. 14/pos. 10).
• Adjust the slice thickness with the knob.
• In case of manual use, grap the grip (fig. 15/pos. 10) fixed
to the tray and start the forward and backward movement.

sition 0 after work is done. Draw the carriage back.

Automatic slicing (210949)
• Place the product on the product tray. Rotate the selector
(fig. 8/pos. 4a) anticlockwise to set AUTOMATIC.
• Turn the appliance on by pressing the Start button (fig. 8/
pos. 1).
• Press the slice counter switch (fig. 25/pos. E) to activate it,
the relative indicator light turns on.
• Set the number of slices to be cut by pressing the specific
keys (fig. 25/pos. B). The set number of slices appears on the
display (fig. 25/pos. G).
• Note! If the number of slices is not set, or if the slice counting
function is disabled (with indicator light turned off), the appli-
ance starts continuous operation with counted slices on the
display (fig. 25/pos. H).
• Set the support stroke by pressing the adjustment keys (fig.
25/pos. A).
• Activate the blade rotation (fig. 25/pos. C). The relative light
indicator will turn on.
• Activate the tray movement (fig. 25/pos. D). The relative light
indicator will turn on.
• When the appliance starts cutting, the number of slices ap-
pears on the display (fig. 25/pos. H).
• To stop the operation press both tray movement key (fig. 25/
pos. D) and blade rotation key (fig. 25/pos. C).
Cleaning & maintenance
• ATTENTION! Always disconnect the appliance from the pow-
er supply and cool down before storage, cleaning & main-
tenance.
• Do not use water jet or steam cleaner for cleaning and do not
push the appliance under the water as the parts will get wet
and electric shock might be resulted.
• If the appliance is not kept in a good state of cleanliness, this
can adversely affect the life of the appliance and result in a
dangerous situation.
• Food residues should be regularly cleaned and removed from
the appliance. If the appliance is not cleaned properly, it will
reduce its lifespan and may result in a dangerous condition
during use.
Cleaning
• Clean the cooled exterior surface with a cloth or sponge
slightly dampened with a mild soap solution. For the appli-
ance body and blade only use cloth dampened in water or
alcohol and a biodegradable frothy dishwasher cleaner at pH
7-8, at a temperature of at least +30°C.
• For reasons of hygiene, the appliance should be cleaned be-
fore and after use.
• Avoid water contacting the electrical components.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Never use aggressive cleaning agents, abrasive sponges, or
cleaning agents containing chlorine. Do not use steel wool,
metallic utensils, or any sharp or pointed objects for clean-
ing. Do not use petrol or solvents!
• No parts are dishwasher safe.
Body cleaning
• Disconnect the plug from the mains power supply.
• Take the adjustment knob of the gauge plate (fig. 9/pos. 4
or fig. 16/pos. 4) down to 0. Fully unscrew the blade guard
locking tie rod (fig. 17/pos. 17). If the blade guard (fig. 17/pos.
9) is blocked, press the rod knob (fig. 17/fig. 17) to move it.
• Remove the tie rod and the blade guard using the special lat-
eral knobs (fig. 17/pos. 23).
• Loosen and remove two screws with knurled heads (fig. 18/
pos. 24); then remove the deflector (fig. 18/pos. 25).
• Loosen the knob (fig. 19/pos. 20a) and remove the sharpener
(fig. 19/pos. 20). Take the sharpener from the knob (fig. 19/
pos. 20b) and remove it by lifting it.
• Clean all the disassembled parts and the appliance's body.
• Use a soft cloth, spongy and possibly a nylon brush for the
sharp zones of the product tray and the product grip.
• Rinse only with hot water and dry with soft and spongy cloth.
Blade and safety ring cleaning
• Press a damp cloth on the blade (fig. 20/pos. 19) and rub
slowly from inside towards the safety ring (fig. 20/pos. S).
• Caution! Always clean the knife (fig. 20/pos. 11) with safety
ring fitted (fig. 20/pos. S) and the gauge plate close to the
blade in the safety position (fig. 20/pos. 19).
• Do not use any detergents to clean the blade!
• Damp a cloth in a solution of water and alcohol. Place the
cloth between the safety ring (fig. 21/pos. S) and blade (fig.
21/pos. 11).
• Take two ends of the cloth between your hands and slide it
along the safety ring.
