Setting the Nominal Pressure - All Indications Except Fieldflood-
ing
To set the nominal pressure, press the (+) or (-) button on the display below
where the actual pressure is depicted.
• The nominal pressure can be increased or decreased with running or stopped
insufflation.
• The nominal pressure is increased/reduced in steps of 1 mmHg every time the
+ or - button is pressed. If the + or - button longer is pressed longer than 1.5 sec-
onds, fast scrolling is activated, but only to the safety threshold, which de-
pends on the particular indication (see below).
• When setting the nominal pressure, an indication-dependent safety threshold
of 12 mmHg or 15 mmHg is applied. If the pressure is to be increased above
these values, the depicted message on the insufflator display must be con-
firmed accordingly.
CAUTION!
Exceeding this safety threshold is to be decided by and the responsibility of the
user/operator.

Setting the Nominal Gas Flow Rate - All Indications
To set the nominal gas flow rate, press the + or - button on the display below
where the actual gas flow is depicted.
• The nominal gas flow is increased/reduced in steps of 1 l/min every time the +
or - button is pressed. If you are working in the Pediatric indication with a range
of 0.1 to 2 l/min, the value is increased or decreased by 0.1 l/min. Hold the – or
+ button for 1.5 seconds to select one of three flow rates, but only up to the
safety threshold, which depends on the respective indication (see below).
Please refer to chapter 7 Menu for details on the factory setting. The preset val-
ues of the user menu can be customized as well.
• In Pediatric indication, the safety threshold is at 5 l/min, in Vessel Harvesting
mode at 6 l/min. If the gas flow is to be increased above these values, the de-
picted message must be confirmed accordingly.
CAUTION!
Exceeding this safety threshold is to be decided by and the responsibility of the
user/operator.
