Always operate the appliance from
behind. Under no circumstances
should you walk or stand in front
of the appliance while the motor is
running.
Always hold the appliance with
both hands while operating the
appliance. Keep a firm, tight grip
on the handlebars.
Be aware that the appliance can
unexpectedly jerk upwards or for-
wards if the tiller head strikes bur-
ied objects such as large stones,
roots or tree stumps.
If the appliance strikes a foreign
object, stop the motor, disconnect
the ignition plug, check the appli-
ance for any damage and repair
this damage before starting and
using the appliance again.
Use extreme caution when working
backwards or pulling the appli-
ance toward you.
Do not overload the appliance by
working too deeply or too quickly
in one go.
Under no circumstances should the
appliance be operated at exces-
sively high transport speeds on
hard or slippery surfaces.
Use caution when processing hard
soils. The tiller head can become
jammed in the soil and propel the
appliance forwards. If this occurs,
let go of the handlebars and do not
keep holding onto the appliance.
Use caution when working near
fences, structures and buried ser-
vice lines. The rotating tiller head
can cause material damage as
well as personal injury.
Use extreme caution when work-
ing on or above gravel driveways,
gravel roads or gravel streets. Be
aware of latent hazards as well as
traffic. Do not transport any pas-
sengers.
Do not, under any circumstances,
leave the operating position while
the motor is running.
Always stop the motor when you
interrupt work or when you move
from one processing location to the
next.
Keep the product clean and free of
plants and other materials. These
can become entangled in the tiller
head. Stop the motor and discon-
nect the ignition plug before you
clean the tiller head.
