Loosen the nuts on the adjusting mechanism
Unscrew the screw on the adjusting mechanism
until the clutch catches properly.

Maintenance of the air filter
Check the air filter and clean before each use and
exchange the filter cartridge when needed.
Remove the filter cartridge.
Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or
gasoline to clean the filter cartridge.
Clean the filter cartridge by beating it against
a level surface.
To assemble the filter, repeat the steps in the
opposite order.
Maintenance of the ignition
plug
Check the ignition plug for dirt and grime for the
first time following 10 hours of operation. After
this, maintenance must be performed following
every 50 hours of operation. Next, check the
spark plug connector. The ignition plug must be
cleaned or exchanged as needed.
Remove the spark plug connector (Fig. A) by
turning it slightly.
Remove the ignition plug using the spark plug
wrench provided.
Check the ignition plug for damage and wear.
The color of the electrode should be light
brown.
Remove deposits from the electrode using a
wire brush. Avoid using excessive pressure
during cleaning!
Dry the ignition plug off with the aid of a soft
cloth if it is full of oil or gasoline.
Check the electrode spacing. It should measure
about 0.7-0.8 mm. Exchange the old ignition
plug for a new one if either the electrode or the
insulation is damaged.
To assemble the filter, repeat the steps in the
opposite order.

Checking the oil level and
changing the oil
The engine oil change is best performed when the
engine is at operating temperature.
Unscrew the
(Fig. A).

Let the warm oil drip onto a collection tray.
Dispose of the used oil properly.
Unscrew the oil dipstick from the oil filler cap
.

Pour the engine oil into the opening for the oil
filler cap
until it reaches the upper marker

for the oil dipstick.
Important: Do not screw the oil dipstick into the
oil level check. Instead, just insert it up to the
screw thread (H = Max. / L = Min.).
Transmission
The transmission is driven by a fan belt. If neces-
sary, the transmission can be repaired.
If repairs become necessary, please consult cus-
tomer service.
Carburetor
The carburetor has been pre-configured by the
manufacturer. If adjustments become necessary,
consult an authorized service center or similarly
qualified specialist. Do not try to perform the
adjustments yourself.
Muffler
Should the muffler require adjustment or change,
consult an authorized service center or similarly
qualified specialist. Do not try to perform the
adjustments yourself.
