HDMI FULL RANGE (optional): This function
in the screen settings menu is available as
soon as the picture signal is received via an

DOLBY AUDIO
Select Dolby Audio setting OFF, SMART, MOVIE, MU
SIC or NEWS to optimise the sound.
SURROUND SOUND
Activate/deactivate the surround sound effect.
You can only access this function if the OFF setting has
been selected under DOLBY AUDIO.
SOUND OUTPUT
The default setting for the speakers is TV so that only the
internal speakers are used to output the sound. Select the
S/PDIF setting if you want to use the digital output of
the device to connect an external device. When HEAD
PHONES ONLY is set, the speakers are muted as soon
as headphones are connected. The V + /  buttons on
the remote control can still be used to set the headphone
volume. The LINEOUT setting means that the signal has a
predefined volume that cannot be changed. If this setting
is selected, an external amplifier can be connected to the
device. You also have the option of selecting the HDMI
ARC setting and integrating an external amplifier into a
24
CEC network via the HDMI2 connection. This setting can
only be selected if you have previously activated the CEC
function under SETTINGS> DEVICE SETTINGS> CEC.
If this is not the case, a message appears when selecting
HDMI ARC, whereupon CEC is activated by confirming
with O K . If you have done so, it is possible to select the
HDMI ARC setting and integrate an external amplifier
into a CEC network via the HDMI2 port. The internal
speakers are muted in this case. The volume buttons on
the remote control now control the device connected to
the HDMI2 port (no OSD display of the volume bar).
AVL
This function sets the sound so that a constant output vol-
ume is maintained between programmes. Set to OFF to
return to the original volume settings. Set to OFF to hear a
constant volume.
If the DOLBY AUDIO menu item is set to anything other
than OFF, amend the settings options. AUTO, NIGHT,
NORMAL and OFF are available. In AUTO mode, the
television automatically switches between NORMAL and
Off
NIGHT mode depending on the current time informa-
Off
tion. If no time information is available, this option always
TV
performs as NORMAL. When the television switches to
Off
NIGHT mode for the first time after this option has been
set to AUTO, an information bar is shown on the screen.
Please note that in contrast to NORMAL mode, NIGHT
mode provides dynamic compression management suita-
ble for silent surroundings
ADVANCED SETTINGS
The ARC function works exclusively via the
HDMI2 port.
Due to the great variety of different devices,
faultless functionality cannot be guaranteed.
– EQUALIZER
In the equaliser submenu, the preset can
be set to MUSIC, MOVIE, SPEECH, FLAT,
CLASSIC and USER. The settings in the equali-
ser menu can only be changed if the equaliser
mode is set to USER.
The default setting is USER and can only be
changed if the option DOLBY AUDIO is disa-
bled (OFF)
– DYNAMIC BASS
Set the bass amplification to ON or OFF.
– SOUND MODE
Standard setting STEREO. If the current pro-
gramme supports DUAL mode (e.g. dual-lan-
guage broadcasts), you can also choose here
between DUALI and DUALII (original lan-
guage and dubbed language).
– DIGITAL OUT
Set the audio type for the digital output here.
PCM is the standard format for stereo signal
output. Select PASSTHROUGH to output a
digital data stream, e.g. on an end stage with
Dolby Digital decoder. With the AUTO setting,
the digital output is automatically set to the
external devices.
