5.6.2 Automatic Mode
5.6.2.1 Distance and Diameter Automatic
Entry with measuring arm
• Make sure that the measuring arm is in rest position.
• Correctly position gauge on rim, so that the arm
reference point touches the rim reference point,
as shown by the arrow (fi g. 5-14). Keep arm in
measuring position until a short beep is heard
to indicate that the value has been acquired.
WARNING:
With laser pointer enabled (A fi g. 5-16), gauge arm
must be positioned on the left compared to the
desired weight position (

Note: A result recalculation can be performed by the
machine only after the start.
• Press the relevant ALU selection key (fi g. 5-15)
to shift to a different balancing Mode. The
alternative combinations vary based on the
starting measuring positions. The unbalance
values will automatically adapt to the new
selections.
5.6.2.2 Width Automatic Entry
The machines featuring a Sonar detector automatically
acquire the width while wheel protection moves
down.
• Lower the protection with a regular and continuous
movement.
Important warning:
For machines without SONAR, width must be
always set through the keyboard.
Note: If more than one wheel of the same type needs
to be balanced (the same nominal dimensions)
the data need only be set for the fi rst wheel.
The selections stay set until other new data are
entered or the machine is switched off.
