Operation
• Clamp the wheel on the unit and readjust it so that
the valve is exactly perpendicular to and above the
main shaft.
• Press ENTER (1) to acquire the valve position.
Indication OP.6 appears (Fig. 5-34).
• Start the measuring run (START).
After the measuring run four indications are possible:
II - OP.7
Proceed with the OP program. It is recommended to
invert the tyre on the rim.
OP.7 - II
Proceed with the OP program. It is recommended to
turn the tyre on the rim.
H0
Optimum condition has been achieved and cannot be
further improved.
H2
Silent running cannot be further improved.
• Press STOP (5) to exit.
However, it is possible to readjust the tyre and the rim
to achieve signifi cant weight minimisation (smaller
counterweights) without having an adverse effect on
silent running.
Depending on the indications, there are several
possibilities for proceeding with the program. These
possibilities are described below.
If indication II - OP.7 appears (Fig. 5-37)
Invert the tyre the rim (the left indication marks will
rotate).
Option 1: invert the tyre on the rim (adjustment
program)
• Readjust the wheel according to the left direction
indication and make a double mark on the left side
of the tyre exactly perpendicular to and above the
main shaft.
• Remove the wheel from the unit.
• Invert the tyre on the rim and turn it until the double mark
coincides with the valve.
• Clamp the wheel on the unit and readjust it so that
the valve is exactly perpendicular to and above the
main shaft.
• Press ENTER (1) to acquire the valve position.
Indication OP.8 appears (Fig. 5-34).
• Start the check run (START).
If optimisation has been carried out correctly (according
to the program cycle), after the check run the machine
returns to the weight application position selected
before optimisation and indicates the residual dynamic
unbalance of the wheel.
• Perform compensation according to the indication.
In this way optimisation is completed and unbalance
compensation is carried out.
