Operation
• Rotate the wheel until one spoke (any spoke) is at
the visible laser point at about 5 o'clock (*).
• Select Enter.
The display will once again display the unbalance
values.
The unit will calculate the weights that must be applied
to the right plane in the two positions behind the
spokes.
To apply the weights;
• Slowly rotate the wheel by hand to the weight
application position(Fig. 5-29a).
•
Apply the weight in the position indicated by the
laser.
• Slowly rotate the wheel by hand again until the WAP
indicator goes off and on again (Fig. 5-29b).
•
Apply the weight in the second position indicated
by the laser.
The weights will be applied on two adjoining spokes
of the rim.
•
Select Enter to exit this mode.
Selecting Enter several times (depending on the
stage of the program) forces the program to quit.
The original right plane weight value will be shown
again. The SWM indicator will go off, a short beep
will be heard.
The program returns to the main menu (Fig. 5-30).
Note:
Applying split weights does not involve priorities.
The operator can choose which to apply fi rst.
Warnings:
The measured unbalance value is divided in two
application points only after the spoke position is
acquired.
When balancing with counterweights positioned
behind the spokes if you also need to perform an
Optimisation/Minimisation run, do it before applying
the weights.
(*) If the use of the Laser Pointer is disabled, and the
Gauge Arm is enabled, position the spoke at 12
o'clock instead of 5 o'clock and then pressEnter.
